One Wheeler Truck Driver

Sitting in Indiana last week in a truck stop, I saw this driver who ammused himself and passed the time away riding a Unicycle around the parking lot.He even juggled some tennis balls while he rode the cycle.

Running in The Midwest for a Week

Running in Ohio,Indiana, Illinois,Wisconsin, and Minnesota this week. Weather has been cool and no Global Warming up here. Came upon a lake on a back Indiana road with a lighthouse on it (Picture), probably just for show as the lake wasn't big enough to need one. Headed home to California and crossed the Mississippi River from Illinois to Iowa at "the Quad Cities" of Illinois and Iowa (Pictures). Entering Omaha Nebraska this afternoon,I passed the stadium(Picture) where the College World Series is taking place and the traffic was horrendous.

Across Montana on I-90 and I-94

Along I-90 and I-94 across Montana. Beautiful country with mountains on the western 2/3rds with the road following numerous river valleys. The roads follow the Yellowstone river for a few hundred miles and passes north of Yellowstone National Park. The Eastern 1/3 of the state is mostly dry, rolling hills with small mountains and alot of ranches and agriculture. Rain on and off and possibly some snow tonight (Oh Joy)

North on I-5 and East on I-90 in Washington

In Washington for the first time in a couple of years. Not one of my favorite places to take a truck to as very few truck stops near Seattle where most of our freight goes.
Found a small truck stop near Sumner WA after I delivered and was charged $20 for a day to park in an old dust field. Reloaded and headed to Ohio along I-90 out of Sumner.

3rd Week Out and Headed Home

From New Jersey to California on a nice run home. Not much of any interest until I got to Wyoming where thunderstorms started and pretty much remained all the way to California. (Pictures) On I-80 at a rest area on Sherman Mountain in Wyoming, there is a statue of Abraham Lincoln, to commemorate this portion of the "Lincoln Highway" (Picture)The "Lincoln Highway was a marketing gimmick to get people to travel back in the earlier part of the 1900's and runs coast to coast on various highways.

2nd Week Back Working

Mostly up and down the East coast mostly in the Northeast. Nice ride from Virginia Beach Virginia up to New Jersey on the old US-13 which travels accross the Chesapeake Bay on twin Causeways with a couple of tunnels that go into the bay to allow ships to enter over the traffic (pictures). US-13 in Maryland crosses a river on a single strand bridge (picture) Entered New Jersey from Maryland across the Delaware River Memorial Bridge (picture)

I'M Backkkk

Back to work on the 6th of May and mostly down south for the first week. Saw something in Louisiana at a truck stop that I had never seen before. Poor driver locked herself out of the truck while fueling and took her almost an hour to break in to her truck to get moving (picture)Foggy and hot down south with thunderstorms (Pictures)
